Chairman Bill Gates received an honorary doctorate in science from Waseda University in Tokyo on Tuesday for his contribution to the software industry and other areas.
Dr Obi, originally from Nigeria, does not say where he did his doctorate in science (DSc) or when he joined the Royal Institute of Public Health (RIPH).
Having completed it, Carlos demonstrated the university's Starlab Planetarium programme for schools as a guest lecturer in the US, and was head-hunted for a place on the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's doctorate in science and education at the University of Texas.
