In our evaluation, we refer to the DOLS developed by Kao & Chiang (2000) et al.
The coefficients of the long-term relationships are obtained using panel DOLS estimations, which allow for cross-country heterogeneity in both short-run and long-run coefficients (equation 12).
We further correct for the deficiencies of OLS by using DOLS to estimate the long-run elasticity of each tax base with respect to personal income.
