A city of west-central Germany north-northeast of Cologne. First mentioned c. 885, it flourished from the 13th to the 17th century as a member of the Hanseatic League. Population: 588,000.

German league leaders Leverkusen were held to a 1-1 draw at home to midtable Borussia Dortmund on Friday with ex-Germany defender Manuel Friedrich heading a second-half equaliser for the hosts.
CAIRO: Borussia Dortmund striker Mohamed Zidan is set to feature in his team's Bundesliga clash against Hoffenheim, after shaking off a minor injury he sustained last weekend.
The carrier, which flies to 18 destinations out of JLA, says Dortmund has the most stringent operating hours of any Easyjet crew base, which "significantly hampers aircraft utilisation, eroding Easyjet's competitiveness in Dortmund".
