Before working at the state hospitals, Frank worked as a drop forger, and was plant supervisor for Holbrook Drop Forging in Worcester.
I met my husband Gil in 1957 and we married in 1959, young I know but we knew - or thought we did - had three lovely children and then one day in 1966 Gil decided he wanted to try a job in America as they were looking for people in his trade as a stamper in drop forging.
However, drop forging and machining a gun from solid blocks of stainless steel, while more costly, does provide an extra measure of strength.
