Chapter President Alan Barber and Chapter Representative Deborah Riopelle have much to be proud of, but special credit goes to Amy Eisenstadt, the chapter's first vice president, who organized the technical program. These small networks, as Eisenstadt and Roniger put it, "are mostly related to, and integrated into, large circles with a chain-to-center structure. Many thanks to Oona Eisenstadt, for allowing me not only to introduce Pomona students to Goldin's work, but also for her comradeship in thinking through the relationship of Jewish philosophy both to university culture and the subdiscipline of Judaic studies, which has largely privileged history over constructive philosophical, and certainly over constructive theological, work. |
