US Army forces organized, trained, and equipped to conduct special operations with an emphasis on unconventional warfare capabilities. Also called SF.

The magazine reports further that in a recent visit to France, IDF Chief of General Staff Gabi Ashkenazi told his French counterpart Jean-Louis Georgelin that Israel is not planning to bomb Iran, but may send elite troops to conduct activities on the ground there.
Shops, markets and offices were closed and little traffic was seen on the roads, two weeks after the incident in which elite troops opened fire on thousands of demonstrators protesting military rule.
Elite troops had moved in to snatch back Stephen Farrell, 46, who was seized on Saturday from a village in Kunduz province.
