n.1.(Min.) An iron-black mineral of metallic luster, occurring in small orthorhombic crystals, also massive. It contains sulphur, arsenic, copper, and often silver.

Most environmental arsenic occurs naturally, appearing in deposits of minerals and ores including arsenopyrite, enargite, and proustite.
At the base of this alunite layer semi-oxidized tetrahedrite and enargite with associated arsenic oxide were located near a 770 ppb gold-in-soil anomaly.
Sulphides present include tetrahedrite, argentite and enargite.
