Cocaine, which is derived from the leaves of Erythroxylon coca, has been used for its stimulating and euphoric effects for centuries; reports of its use by the Incas date back to 1230 A.
As a farmer-friendly shrub, about the only thing that could beat Erythroxylon coca would be a money tree.
The drug cocaine is found in the leaves of the Erythroxylon coca plant and causes very interesting sensations.
