statements, sales tax, business licenses, workers' compensation and unemployment insurance, social security, and employer identification numbers; major business entities (sole proprietorships, general and limited partnerships, limited liability partnerships and companies, and types of corporations); investing; and the business entity as a litigant in negligence, employment discrimination, business torts, and bankruptcy lawsuits.
The law bars lawsuits by a business using a fictitious name, unless the fictitious business name
statement is filed and published.
