Heder and Will Ferrell play rival figure skaters in ``Blades'' who brawl at the end of one heated competition, resulting in a ban from singles skating.
It was with interest and empathy that I read Jon Jackson's commentary on professional male figure skaters and the difficult decisions they face deciding how far to come out.
Of course, there are a host of former Olympic medalists along as well: figure skaters Dorothy Hamill and Debi Thomas, speed skater Eric Heiden, gymnast Kerri Strug and Heisman Trophy winner Herschel Walker, who competed in the bobsled in the 1992 Olympic Games.
