Byline: By ANDREW GREGORY A BRITISH survivor last night told how she became trapped in a field with the fire storm just 500 metres away - when her boyfriend swooped by in his car.
The fire storm tore through several towns north of Melbourne on Saturday night, killing people in their cars as they tried to flee or as they huddled in their homes.
