JetBlue's new training center will encompass an 80,000-s/f building with the capacity for eight flight simulators and two cabin simulators, plus classrooms, cabin crew training equipment, a training pool, a fire-fighting training station and administration areas. Other technologies include a gift from Montreal-based CAE--the world's largest producer of flight simulators-of three Simfinity flight simulators. Flight simulators provide a harrowingly realistic experience of flight, and have become a central part of the assessment and training program for airline pilots. |
