A city of southeast China on the Min River delta. An ancient walled city, it was a treaty port following the Opium War (1839-1842). Fuzhou has been the capital of Fujian province since the tenth century. Population: 1,170,000.

WE were puzzled to read in yesterday's Record that a man in China's Fuzhou City is to get medical help after 12 attempts to kill his wife while sleepwalking.
The powerful tropical storm struck the province Saturday night in the vicinity of Fuzhou city where most of the casualties occurred, according to the Chinese state media.
The joint venture's office and plant will be located on a 15,000 square meter plot acquired in Fuzhou City, and its annual production capacity for CMB and FMB will be 2,500 tons and 250 tons, respectively.
