802 QC793 In these proceedings from the June 2005 symposium, contributors describe their work in theoretical experimental and theoretical nuclear physics, the main topic of which was the physics of weakly bound neutron-rich nuclei, giant resonances, cluster structures, high-spin states, nuclear matter and fundamental interactions, as well as new experimental techniques and reviews of the large nuclear laboratories such as GSI, GANIL, RIKEN and NSCL.
The new GANIL findings show that under certain conditions, the pumped-up electron leaps to a distant orbit rather than escape the nucleus.
