Egyptian intelligence has shared with the CIA information obtained from monitoring communications between its domestic Islamist group Gama'a al-Islamiyya and suspected al-Qaeda representatives.
in Cairo, Egypt), who aims to identify the political, economic, social, and spiritual dimensions of Al Qaeda's terrorism against the United States by comparing it to other asymmetrical, if more limited, conflicts: Mexico's Zapatista Rebellion, the insurgency of Gama'a al-Islamiyya against the Egyptian government, and Nigeria's Ogoni uprising.
