Education officials in Rushville, Ohio, have agreed to stop allowing the Gideons to distribute Bibles to fifth graders, after receiving a complaint from a parent. The Gideons were among about 150 people from 17 churches and synagogues in the Santa Clarita Valley who trooped around Newhall as part of a fund-raiser sponsored by the Santa Clarita Interfaith Council. The Gideons have acted as systems consultants for leading financial firms including JP Morgan, Merrill Lynch, Lehman Brothers, Goldman and Sachs & Co. |
