21 Kyodo The Uniqlo casual wear chain implemented an early-morning sale at about 400 shops Saturday to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of its operator, with more than 2,000 people lining up in front of its store in Tokyo's Ginza shopping area before dawn.
The main venue will be the Meiji Memorial Picture Gallery, with the event also including displays of car-related paraphernalia and a parade of approximately 100 classic cars from Japan, America and Europe through Tokyo's Ginza district.
Ginza Tanaka's latest gold collection, entitled Summer Cool, is made up of items commonly believed by the Japanese to help alleviate the stifling heat of summer.
