Her ARP date of appointment was July 24, 1939; her identity card was issued by Glamorgan County Council on August 9, 1939.
In 1990, the former South Glamorgan County Council extended the 30mph limit beyond the street lighting on Cardiff Road by signposting it - but it has now been established that the necessary traffic regulation order was never passed.
I then became an educational administrator with Glamorgan County Council and retired in 1984 as assistant director of education for Mid-Glamorgan County Council.
