Grand Banks
An extensive area of shoals in the western Atlantic Ocean off southeast Newfoundland, Canada. The mingling of the cold Labrador Current and the warmer Gulf Stream and the shallowness of the water make the area a major source of food fish.

The last sighting was in 1852, on the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, when one, solitary bird was spotted.
They said the same thing about the Grand Banks of Newfoundland which were totally fished out and the same thing was said about herring in the North Sea, yet they are also fished out.
But seas became rough and the salvagers decided to try to tow the hull section about 80 miles to the Grand Banks of Newfoundland, where seas were expected to be smoother.
