Grand Coulee
A gorge, about 48 km (30 mi) long, of north-central Washington, carved by the Columbia River. It is fed by water from the Grand Coulee Dam (built 1933-1942).

(Placename) a canyon in central Washington State, over 120 m (400 ft.) deep, at the N end of which is situated the Grand Coulee Dam, on the Columbia River. Height of dam: 168 m (550 ft.). Length of dam: 1310 m (4300 ft.)
