n.1.The art of judging of a person's character, disposition, and aptitude from his handwriting; also called graphology. As a discipline, the modern form was developed by Milton Newman Bunker in the period after 1915.

Two organizations - the Chicago-based International Graphoanalysis Society and the American Handwriting Analysis Foundation in San Jose - operate certification-testing programs but there is no licensing agency yet.
Graphoanalysis is a method of personality and character assessment and knowing some of the principles literally opens the door to self-understanding.
