Hechi City, China, is located in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region where Vi vaccines had been used in the past (8,9); however, no such intervention had taken place in Hechi City. Stora Enso (SE) Helsinki, Finland has signed a "memorandum of understanding" with representatives of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government for jointly conducting a pre-feasibility study covering industrial scale plantations and integrated pulp and paper operations in Guangxi Zhuang, a region SE considers promising for the forest products industry and a good source of raw material. The Zhuang are the largest "minority nationality or people" (non-Han group) in China; in 1957 the province of Guangxi was renamed the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. |
