From a Jewish perspective we might say that halakha is (ever so slightly in orthodox circles and more obviously in liberal circles) impacted by the questions and language of the current culture.
The second manifesto, also released in September, declares that the Halakha (Jewish religious law) commands the killing of innocent Palestinian civilians if this helps to save Jews.
Assuming this halakha to have been in place at the time of Jesus--and to have been accepted by all Sects--its ramifications would ostensibly have meant the following.
