A new television adaptation of A Raisin in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry is in production and reportedly scheduled for broadcast on ABC later this year.
His distinguished career included membership in FDR's first Fair Employment Practices Committee; leadership in the movement that broke the color barrier to membership in the Illinois State Bar Association; and his driving role behind the Hansberry v.
Asia and her classmates are students at the Hansberry Child-Parent Center, in the West Garfield Park neighborhood on Chicago's West Side.
