Haversian canals
(Anat.) the small canals through which the blood vessels ramify in bone.

The axial direction is defined according to the Haversian osteons of the cortical bone and according to the spatial main direction of the trabecular structures of cancellous bone.
We present a case of postoperative osseous metaplasia in the maxillary sinus that led to the formation of mature bone with a well-developed haversian system and bone marrow.
These canals are called Haversian canals, which contain blood vessels which transport blood and nutrients to compact bone.
