The service, initially used to support the organisation of the 21st Summer Deaflympics held in Taipei on 5-15 September 2009, is expected to benefit over 200,000 deaf and hearing impaired people in Taiwan.
The other institution is Al-Amal school in Madaba which includes 17 male and 13 female students, and offers resources for the hearing impaired up to 7th grade.
Byline: Margaret Cartmell MY SON, who is deaf, was one of the first children in 1991 to go to Shenley Hearing Impaired Unit.
