Amino Acid Sequence of the CIV H3 Hemagglutinin To identify changes with possible functional significance with regard to antigenicity or receptor binding, we compared the deduced amino acid sequences of the H3 hemagglutinins from the 6 available CIV isolates.
The hemagglutinins of viral strains whose infectivity was not activated by the bacterial enzyme were not cleaved by the bacterial enzyme.
