Picturesque town Next stop was Henley-on-Thames, the hotel is perfectly placed for a riverside stroll as it is just yards from the Thames.
Price includes: return coach from a range of local pick up points, three nights in a twin or double-bedded room with private en-suite facilities, cooked breakfasts and three course evening meals throughout, entrance to Buckingham Palace, a flight on the British Airways London Eye, entrance and guided tour of the Houses of Parliament, visits to Royal Windsor and Henley-on-Thames and free time in London.
Suddenly came a clatter from outside so loud it's a wonder the blue rinses didn't have heart attacks - not to mention me - followed by a not very Henley-on-Thames expletive from my son who, poking about in the doorway had inadvertently knocked a bowler hat off a head on a plinth thus sending a collection of brass fire irons cascading into the street.
