In May 1149 in Carlisle, Henry Plantagenet, later King Henry I, promised King David I that he would recognise Northumberland from the Tyne to the River Tees as Scots territory.
The story, though a work of fiction, features characters many will remember from their history books, Henry Plantagenet, his estranged wife Eleanor of Aquitaine and their sons, prince Richard the Lionheart (future King Richard I of England), Geoffrey, Duke of Britanny, and prince John (future King John I of England).
One remarkable historical figure whose actions could prove relevant to contemporary business leaders is Henry Plantagenet of England.
