Hindu Kush  (ksh, ksh)
A mountain range of southwest Asia extending more than 805 km (500 mi) westward from northern Pakistan to northeast Afghanistan. It is crossed by several high-altitude passes used as invasion and trade routes since ancient times. The highest elevation is Tirich Mir, 7,695.2 m (25,230 ft), in Pakistan.

ISLAMABAD, November 15, 2009 (Balochistan Times): After merging as largest party in Gilgit-Baltistan legislative polls, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has hinted at formation of government in coalition with MQM and JUI-F in the Hindukush region.
A senior official of metrological department told that it was an earthquake of intensity 5 on the Richter scale, adding that the epicentre was 10 kilometers deep in Hindukush Mountain along the border with Afghanistan.
All ten were said to have left Hamburg earlier this year to attend paramilitary training camps in the Hindukush mountans.
