Osaka detective, construction firm execs held over alleged bid rigging OSAKA - Prosecutors on Wednesday arrested a police detective and five construction firm executives and employees on suspicion that they rigged a bid in 2005 for a project to build a garbage incinerator plant in the city of Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture, the prosecutors said.
Nanno Construction, based in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture, mainly undertakes civil engineering work for infrastructure projects.
24 Kyodo A 32-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of murdering his mother, sister and grandmother at their home in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture, police said.
