Bailey's narration is basically skillful, though I was irritated at the hokey twang she attributes to American speakers. You can skip the epilogue, though: 25 pages of hokey "letters to leaders" meant to motivate them for the changes ahead. T-shirts may seem hopelessly hokey, but they offer ex-addicts an easy conversation opener when they're trying to proselytize about the drug's dangers. |
