(Chemistry) any of a class of chemical compounds that result when hydrogen in hydrazine or any of its derivatives is replaced by an acid radical

hydrazide  (hdr-zd)
A compound formed by combining hydrazine with an acyl compound. Hydrazides are important in the manufacture of certain medicines.
