In honor of this anniversary, Steinway & Sons unveiled two limited edition pianos: one created by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, and the second, a recreation of one of the most historic Steinway grand pianos played by legendary artist Ignace Jan Paderewski in 1891. Paso Robles: This San Luis Obispo town will stage its fourth annual Paderewski Festival March 22-24, honoring the music of Polish pianist Ignace Jan Paderewski (who lived in Paso Robles for several years beginning in 1913) with a Polish-American breakfast, vintage films of the pianist, and performances of his music. Today at Steinway Hall, Steinway & Sons, renowned for creating the world's finest piano, commemorated its 150th Anniversary by unveiling two anniversary limited edition pianos: one created by celebrated fashion designer, Karl Lagerfeld and the second, a recreation of the one of the most historic Steinway grand pianos played by legendary artist Ignace Jan Paderewski in 1891. |
