Defibrillation threshold testing: Is it really necessary at the time of implantable cardioverter-defibrillator insertion?
Despite a "no action indicated" (NAI) inspection in April 1996, FDA was back at Medtronic's Fridley, MN, plant in February 1997 when the firm notified the Minneapolis District Office of a coming safety alert on various models of its Thera implantable bradycardia pacemakers and Jewel implantable cardioverter-defibrillators, according to recently released inspection records.
This trial will identify ways physicians can improve the quality of care for patients through optimal application of device-based tools designed to reduce unnecessary shocks in patients with implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) and cardiac resynchronization therapy-defibrillator (CRT-D) devices.
