| Some suppressive, incapacitating and psychological shock effects are byproducts of lethal and destructive weapons; some are products of nonlethal weapons, such as jammers and various other incapacitants. These fires may include munitions that have obscurants, multiple means of illumination, countermobility capabilities, thermobaric effects, incapacitants and munitions that will blind or disable enemy acquisition and observation systems. Possible payloads include unitary munitions, dual-purpose improved conventional munitions (DPICM), smart submunitions and nonlethal munitions, such as incapacitants. |
