10c (intervening cause) is to be given only in cases in which the court concludes that there is a jury issue as to the presence and effect of an intervening cause.
The court went on to hold that Kalahasthi's suicide was an intervening cause and that therefore she did not die "as a result of" the terrorist attacks.
An intervening cause does not operate to exempt a defendant from liability if that cause is put into operation by the defendant's wrongful act or omission.
