AT THE end of Eid, the Islamic months of fasting and repentance, a group of young people from the Hazrat Sultan Bahu mosque in Balsall Heath, handed out over 100 little food parcels to pensioners of all races in their locality.
Commenting on the mistakes made by other newspapers, Abdul Hamid Ahmad, Editor-in-Chief of Gulf News, said: "Newspapers should stop publishing the Hijri dateline until they are sure of the first day of the Islamic months.
Like other Islamic months, Ramadan lasts for 29 or 30 days, depending on the arrival of the crescent moon.
