According to statistics provided by Maria Luisa Zagalas Sanchez for the city of Jaen it seems that at the end of the 1950's an average salary of a high school physical education teacher stood at 3,000 pesetas, while that of a temporary teacher at an entry level position was 2,000 pesetas. Father Domingo Garcia Dobao, pastor of the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Jaen, Spain, has been sued by Juan Diego Fuentes Medina after the priest publicly denied him Communion for registering his gay union with Angel de los Reyes with local officials.
