Recommended is the molokhiya, commonly referred to by Americans and Europeans as Jew's mallow, with a side order of Daoud Pasha, an Egyptian take on spiced meatballs in a red tomato sauce.
The health ministry said the insecticide chlorpyrifos was also detected in frozen Jew's mallow, a leafy vegetable, produced by Yantai Beihai in 2002 and exported to Japan.
