During her four years at DBE, Nelson has successfully created an events department, doubled the fashion department and brought in the company's first spirits clients by striking a deal with Allied Domecq's Kahlua, Sauza and Stoli Flit. There's a lot to like at the Senor Fred restaurant in Sherman Oaks - luscious strawberry margaritas, fresh guacamole with chips, a barbecued glazed chicken salad, shrimp with peppers in a garlic butter sauce, drunken fruit, Kahlua chocolate mousse cake and Mexican hot chocolate among them. Spike and Meg, our hosts, made all four of us feel welcome, although they couldn't talk anyone into a bracing early-morning kayak, no matter how hard they tried or how much of their famous Sumatra mocha java laced with cinnamon, Kahlua, Equal, and Coffee-mate they poured down our gullets. |
