CNN, Fox, and the Associated Press carried video and photos of Sher Singh, who was subsequently released and charged only with a misdemeanor for carrying a kirpan.
After determining that Singh had nothing to do with the attack on America, authorities decided to arrest him for carrying a small kirpan, symbolic of his Sikh faith.
