| Bong Ljungdahl AB, Kristianstad, Skane, Sweden has signed an agreement to acquire RCT Kuvert, Hilden, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany. The pneumococcal strains considered in this study were recovered from cultures analyzed at the Departments of Clinical Microbiology in Lund, Malmo, Helsingborg, and Kristianstad from July 1, 1995, through June 30, 2001. We thank all the farmers and their families volunteering for sampling and the staff working with animal transportation and in the slaughterhouses (in Helsingborg, Kavlinge, Ugglarp, Kristianstad, and Kalmar). |
