She enjoyed to read Marcel Proust and other French literature In French and to sing along to recordings of Kurt Weil songs in German.
Kurt Weil also ploughed this furrow and was very successful with his Street Scene, which received two British productions some years ago, one of which (Scottish Opera) visited the Liverpool empire.
She has appeared in concert with Yo-Yo Ma, performing the string quartets of Henry Cowell at BAM; with the Ethos Percussion Ensemble in Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall; and as guest soloist in wall-to-wall presentations of Kurt Weil and Irving Berlin at Symphony Space in New York City.
