Noun1.language area - a large cortical area (in the left hemisphere in most people) containing all the centers associated with language

Broca's area, Broca's center, Broca's convolution, Broca's gyrus, convolution of Broca - the motor speech center in the left hemisphere of the brain in most people
Wernicke's area, Wernicke's center - the auditory word center; located in the posterior part of the superior temporal convolution in most people

Another interesting finding from neuroscience research is that when two languages are learned simultaneously very early in development, they overlap in the language areas of the brain.
Although our course treats language areas other than grammar, grammar considerations alone will occupy the rest of this presentation.
Research projects in all subjects and language areas within Renaissance Studies are eligible for support.
