| Somewhere in the middle of all this are groups at risk, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) in Pakistan and the separatist movements in the Philippines and Thailand. The government accused the banned organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, reportedly based in Pakistan and the disputed Kashmir territory, of having placed the bombs. At the present time, the Valley is completely in the thrall of jehadi groups such as, the Hizbul Mujahideen (both the local and Pakistan-based contingents), the Jamiat-ul-Mujahideen (a breakaway faction of the Hizbul), and the Pakistan-based and sponsored Lashkar-e-Taiba and Harkat-ul-Mujahideen (the latter, initially known as Harkat-ul-Ansar, changed its name after the kidnap and murder of five foreign tourists in Pahalgam). |
