The Massachusetts lead paint laws require property owners to remove dangerous levels of lead paint when a child under age 6 resides in the unit or is going to reside in the unit.
The Environmental Protection Agency is accusing several Manchester landlords of possibly putting tenants at risk by not telling them of lead paint in their apartment buildings.
In a major setback for states seeking to abate lead paint hazards, the Rhode Island Supreme Court voted unanimously to overturn the only verdict in the country against the lead paint industry for creating a public nuisance.
