Those essential amino acids include: Leucine is an essential amino acid that cannot be synthesized by the body but must always be acquired from dietary sources.
In experiments, starch samples were prepared by adding amino acids--aspartic acid, leucine, lysine and tyrosine--at 6% on a starch dry-weight basis to rice starch in buffers of pH 4, 7 and 10.
As preliminary results, the relative effects on four sites of methionine oxidation by hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) and comparison of oxidation stability effects on those of each mutated methionine to alanine, glycine, isoleucine, or leucine has been determined.
