1. An unincorporated community of southeast New York on western Long Island northeast of Hempstead. It was founded in 1947 as a low-cost housing development for World War II veterans. Population: 53,000.
2. A community of southeast Pennsylvania near the Delaware River northeast of Philadelphia. Population: 53,900.
