Lipofen (fenofibrate capsules) is a peroxisome proliferator receptor alpha (PPARa) activator indicated as an adjunct to diet: to decrease elevated LDL-C, Total-C, TG and Apo B, and to increase HDL-C in adult patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidaemia and for treatment of adult patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia.
Lipofen (fenofibrate capsules: 50 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg) is indicated for use as adjunctive therapy to diet to reduce elevated LDL cholesterol levels, total cholesterol, triglycerides, and apolipoprotein B, and to increase HDL cholesterol levels in adult patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia (Frederickson Types IIa and IIb), in addition to the treatment of adult patients with hypertriglyceridemia (Frederickson Types IV and V hyperlipidemia).
